We are Mak3r Films, a Manchester-based video production company that cuts through the noise and helps businesses and brands come alive with video.
We are storytellers with a fresh outlook and a straightforward, no-BS approach to film. By tapping into our wide network of creatives in the city, we push boundaries to find new ways of telling your story.
Bec Armitage
Overseeing creative production is Bec. A high-energy people person with a background in video, podcasting and content, Bec loves getting to know you and your brand. She’s no stranger to spinning plates, and she’s mint at connecting the dots and making things come together.
Bec has worked in studios up and down the country, on editorial shoots, shows for the likes of Channel 4, as well as heading up media production for two of Manchester’s largest digital publishers - Manchester’s Finest and The Manc.
Jim Dawson

He’s delivered large-scale projects across the country including Wembley Arena, The National Trust and The Shard, as well as the Manchester International Festival, Manchester Arena and Royal Exchange Theatre locally, to name a few.
He’s worked alongside huge acts like Elbow, Doves, James Morrison, The Verve and Editors, as well as touring internationally as a live VJ and animation producer for Mr Scruff for the last 14 years. Rachel Down
Looking after production and operations is Rachel. With a background in events delivery, she has managed, trained and developed staff operations for large-scale events, parties, immersive theatre, gigs, installations, conferences and more, in the UK and internationally. Events she’s worked on include Manchester International Festival, Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Doha Tribeca Film Festival, Outlook and Dimensions and plenty more.
Rachel is the calm at the eye of the storm, the person that everyone relies on to keep a level head amongst the chaos to deliver complex projects. She’s highly organised, a natural problem solver, and loves working with people and brands to make things happen.
